During my genealogy research, I discovered an ancestor named Eva. When Eva was a teenager, she got pregnant for her aunt's husband, who was 49 years old at the time, and proceeded to have ten children for him. They eventually got married when Eva was 40 years old and he was 70 years old, and he died two weeks after the marriage.
Why did it take so long for them to get married? Did the wife not want to grant a divorce? Or were husband and wife still living together? I have yet to find out what became of the wife (Eva's aunt). I have found no record of her death. The investigation continues.
